SMS Consent & Opt-In

Last updated: July 8, 2026

This page explains exactly how clients of Henna by Maryam LLC give consent to receive text (SMS) messages from us, and shows the consent statement each client agrees to. We only text clients who have knowingly provided their mobile number and agreed to receive messages.

How clients opt in

Consent is collected through a single workflow, in person at the point of service:

1
Before their appointment, the client completes the Henna by Maryam client waiver form in person on the artist's device.
2
On the form, the client enters their name and mobile phone number.
3
The client then checks the consent box below — it is unchecked by default — to actively agree to receive text messages.
4
The client signs and submits the form. Only clients who check the consent box receive texts. Providing a number to book or schedule does not, by itself, opt anyone in.

The consent statement clients agree to

This is the exact consent language shown to the client at the point of opt-in:

The consent box is unchecked by default; the client must actively check it to opt in.
